To escape to the Algarve in the beginning of September to extend the summer was a fabulous idea. As sun-seekers we were rewarded with plenty of sunshine, day temperatures as high as 30°C/86°F, and sea waters of 20°C/68°F. […]
We are back from taking a road trip through sunny Florida: Tampa, Sarasota, Anna Maria Island, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Boca Raton, Miami, and the Keys. An unforgettable vacation, because we had amazing days with good friends who live there. Traveling with them gave us the chance to see things through different eyes and to discover places we would not have reached otherwise. Certainly one of these highlights was Anna Maria Island (AMI) on the west coast (1h10 Tampa). A small island that is only 11 km (7 mi) long and 3 km (2 mi) wide. […]
Here is the second part of our recent fortnight in the Seychelles. This post is exclusively about the four days spent in splendid Praslin. With 12×4.6 km it is the second largest island in this fascinating archipelago. We started the trip in big Mahé (26×8 km), so don’t miss the beginning of the journey and look into the Sneak Peek: ‘Curious in the Seychelles: Mahé’. […]
The celebration of our 30th wedding anniversary made us returned to the Seychelles exactly after one year. It was the right pick! It is a bloggiversary post! Foodie Sneak Peeks is very pleased to celebrate its second year with a peek into one of the most iconic Swiss places, i.e. charming Luzern. […]
When your BFF, who lives 9,000 km away, tells you that she will be in London for a few days, knowing that your flight will only take you 1h40, you can only jump on the next plane. The idea of catching up and spending time together in the unique, bustling city was too tempting not to follow through. […]
This time it was “Frida Kahlo – Beyond the Myth” (01Feb–03Jun2018) that made me return to Milano in less than two months. This exhibition at the Museum of Cultures (MUDEC) includes 70 paintings, 40 drawings, 150 photographs, personal letters, and such unique items like her diary. […]
Having my husband’s brother and family visiting from Lima, we spent last weekend with them in Milano. They all have a sweet tooth, so I thought this time I would concentrate my foodie efforts on sweet spots, i.e. ice cream parlors, bakeries, and coffee shops. […]
