When I prepare these chicken wings, the baking aroma coming out of the oven brings me back to my mother’s kitchen. A pleasant flashback that starts with the smell, continues with the heart and ends in a satisfied palate. It is extremely easy to prepare with very few ingredients.
10 chicken wings, tips removed
1 cup (100 g) grated parmesan cheese
1/3 cup (30 g) breadcrumbs
salt
freshly ground black pepper
olive oil
Preheat oven: 200°C (400°F)
Grease a suitable baking dish with olive oil.
Season chicken wing with salt and pepper to taste, toss to coat.
Combine grated cheese and breadcrumb using a flat bowl. IMPORTANT: It you need to prepare a larger amount of chicken wings, make sure that the ratio of cheese to breadcrumbs is 3:1.
One by one toss the chicken wings in the cheese/breadcrumb mix, making sure they get a generous coating.
Arrange chicken wings in a single layer on the baking dish.
Sprinkle any cheese/breadcrumb mix leftover all over them.
Bake for 45-50 min at 200°C (400°F) until they are crispy and golden brown.
A perfect dish I like to serve with a side of salad, risotto, polenta, mashed potatoes, or you tell me!
Looks very easy – and yummy!
